I will never understand how anyone in Barnsley votes Tory. They have systematically ****** us up the &rse. I get why people are leaving Labour. I’ve personally voted Green and LibDem recently. But a lifelong Tory voter. In Barnsley. Weird as fu<k

I really don't think there are many life-long tory voters in barnsley. It's only really been in the out-lying more rural areas where they have ever had a modicum of support (penistone ward etc). It's fairly clear though that many traditional labour voters are not going to be voting for the labour party in the near future. Many of my ex- mining mates have gone over to the dark side (farage, brexit etc). The recent european vote backs this up even if one could argue it was a 'protest' vote. They have shifted their allegiance despite knowing full well that Tory government's have laid waste to communities like ours (and that EU money helped us considerably thereafter).
So something is sadly wrong and the Redstar's of this world are doing the Labour Party no favour at all.

Redstar has been a party member for 25 years so was a supporter during the Blair years. What the Labour Party is asking for is not extreme in other countries, but in this country we have moved further to the right economically.

I agree absolutely that the labour party party is not asking for anything extreme.
You've missed the point. The point is that Jeremy Corbyn would be appalled with people who support him who wish death by aids on other people.

Agree with this completely and describes my situation apart from the Lib Dem bit .

Rumour has it that the Barnsley recent town centre ‘renovation’ is running out of cash due to a lack of EU funding! What will the 70% of Barnsley brexiteers think about that ? Well as long as we have our blue passports who gives a ****!!!

They’ll probably blame the council, accuse them of being on the rob, type no deal in capital letters, shout we aren’t giving them 39 billion whilst failing to see we owe it them and if we don’t pay won’t get any trade deals at all in the future. At least we’ve less immigrants coming to take their job they’ve never had.

They won't blame the council, lifelong labour voters irrespective of whether the Marxist terrorist supporters are in charge. They'll type no deal as they, not the Islington elite have suffered more at the hands of mass uncontrolled immigration than anyone else and maybe the proliferation of cheap labour will lead to an end to zero hours contracts, jobs here only advertised in eastern europe, and force firms to pay decent wages.
Oh, and whether we owe them the 39 billion Theresa May committed to in her deal that was never passed is a point of law as yet unproven.

I do wish that you wouldn't be so dismissive of the people of Barnsley who don't believe the same things as you do.
Put the Guardian down and do some research into Corbyn's affiliation with the IRA.

    True....
It just reinforces many peoples perception that the current labour party is extremist when it's fundamentally socialist.

Have you seen the latest from the class warriors currently ruling the party ? If you leave your kids the family home, and it's worth over 425k they've to pay 40% inheritance tax so will probably have to sell it to foot the bill.
Not bother many in tarn but in that London many ordinary working families are going to have a shock coming if the comrades ever get in.

    https://www.room151.co.uk/treasury/barnsley-becomes-second-authority-to-sign-forward-loan-deal/

As a fan of the EU I'm sure your aware of the rules regards direct government investment . We would not want Barnsley breaking any " free market" rules now would we .
