Honestly can't see how anyone in Barnsley who's been brought up in the town their entire life can vote Tory. I was brought up in Huddersfield but my dad's side from Barnsley were miners going back over 200 years. Couldn't live with myself voting Tory. I'd feel like a traitor to my roots.
No it comes natural. I’d be more worried if I was you. Will you venture to Oakwell this coming season or will you still claim support from the 1970’s?
Yep, I'll be there as much as I can. Costs me about 500 quid per trip and money's tight so apologies for not getting there more often. How about you? Not heard much since your constant negativity was sidelined by us winning football matches. Still.....maybe we'll have a bad season next time round eh?
OP: Johnson is who you have been voting for, for all these years. So come on, come to the beautiful red light. Blue's for Wednesday dweebs. Thee and that lad that from earlier that doesn't know what socialism is - the dafty - but whose kids were definitely born on the NHS. Reject the Buffoon and his gang, reject ignorance, and subservience. Support your local club. Vote Labour.
I’ve been a season ticket holder for 25 years. No excuses. Still, it’s easier to be a super fan when you invest nowt I guess. I stopped posting because it was a waste of my time and life.
Or do the sensible thing and vote neither. The labour party isn't the labour party anymore, it's a disgrace a d its dying g at the hands of Corbyn. The Tories are just the Tories, it is what it is. I wasnt born whilst the miners strike was going on, but I was born and bred in thurnscoe, and it's a village that you could guarantee not one person would vote Tory. However things are changing, the people of Barnsley are changing. You can see the Tory vote getting higher in this town, alot higher (albeit not high enough to ever come anywhere near power) but I honestly believe that The Brexit Party will won the Barnsley seat when it comes the the general election, because it's what the vast majority of people in this town relate to or want to happen. You can dislike what I've wrote, but it's true. I don't vote (almost a lie, I voted in the referendum, I voted leave), therefore I dont complain. I cant relate to a man who organises tea parties with Hamas, hates Jews and believes the IRA were some kind of freedom fighters. I also cant relate to a party that only cares about the super rich, super powerful and who destroyed out town.
Whether or not you believe that the current system is broken and inherently undemocratic as I do, Corbyn is one of the few politicians who actually would actually seek to remedy the catastrophe of the strike through the redistribution of wealth , ordering an orgreave inquiry etc whereas the Labour leadership at the time were felt by many to be lacking in their support.
One excellent fishing trip...better than sea fishing.... The jigger is full of those who took the bait... Lol
It’s a reason why a dictator could work anywhere, there are always enough people who would screw/shop their neighbour to make it work, even though it’s never the majority.
Let's also forget about him pushing for British soldiers to be prosecuted. Never seemed as keen to push for those wonderful Irish freedom fighters to have the same treatment.
