Best: Two party politics is back with a credible opposition which should temper the excesses of the present Government who will have to keep looking over their shoulder (said as a Tory - on this occasion- voter) Worst. Jeremy Hunt kept his seat
The missis a big Corbyn fan had a morning frisk on so sent me out into the world with a smile on my face... Corbyn engaging young people and making them believe that politics and politicians can actually change things. That they Really not 'all the same' Amber Rudd keeping her seat was pretty ***** and that idiot ZAC Goldsmith winning his were lows.
I'm an old man as I said to some girl that was flirting with me the other day "I can barely be bothered to shag my own missis let alone someone else's". But I wa more thinking the Rudd thing.
Best thing - Young people had their say ( 72% from around 42% in 2015). Sadly their aspirations around tuition fees may not be realised as Labour has not got its majority. Clegg, Salmond and Robertson lost their seats and Nuttall is now going. Worst- Farage will probably come back. May is going to see the Queen at 12.30pm to request permission to form a new Government. She will probably be supported by the DUP but the policies on which the Tories based their campaign holds absolutely no relevance for them. Who was it that used the term " a Coalition of chaos"?. Oh yes it was Theresa May.!!!!! They will demand something in return for their support because they've got us by the short and curlies make no mistake about that. ( London Evening Standard headline " Orange is the new Blue.") She was against Brexit. During the campaign she campaigned for Brexit and a hard one at that. Today's result leaves her with no option but to go for a soft Brexit. What does this woman believe in.? Her position is surely untenable.? She has plummeted us into a weak and unstable position exactly the opposite of her strong and stable mantra. My tip new a Tory leader ( unelected by the people) within weeks, postponement of the Brexit talks and a new election probably in October 2017.
It would not surprise me to see the Tory knives out by the weekend for her. Also wouldn't surprise me if they split due to the hostility behind the scenes...
The worst thing to come out of this election is that we are going to be run by 10 Irish men that march down the road with orange banners and wearing bowler hats looking idiotic.
The knives are out right now Scoff. She's just left to go and see the Queen. The so called biased BBC political adviser Laura Kuennsberg hollered " are you feeling Strong and Stable Prime Minister".? Why haven't we heard from any of the Cabinet. ? The word on the street is they think she's robotic and too controlling. Plots will start to emerge very soon. She's a laughing stock. She's lost 12 Conservatives and gained 10 DUP representatives. Tory grandees will be saying to her " Keep Calm and Carry on as though nothing's happened". In private her ar*e will be tensing up like Salman Rushdies every time there's someone at the door.!
Best- Labour have gained the final seat re- Kensington. Worst- The sh*t is not yet quite over May's head just yet. But there's a chance that will happen at some point in the future especially when Boris stands on it.! Good sign for her. The crowd are booing as she leaves the Palace. A job really well done Theresa.
