My mate Peter. Excellent carpenter..
Coddy at roundhouse. Or if you're in tarn, Mermaid.
Is Wombwell too far away to count because the best one I know is Tunstall Cross
Shaws at Dodworth
Y Pass at Kexborough used to be good ,expensive but worth it .
Not sure if that’s still the case mind .
The one round back of Mount pub does an excellent piece of cod or in Wombwell, bottom of Summer Lane.
Yep Codfather at Roundhouse- some of the best fish and chips I've had.
Apparently they change their oil every day. Nothing's re-fried
When I'm over for a match I always try and call in !
Shaws by a million miles.
Thought they went downhill after they moved
Small Fry opposite Miners at Old Town.
My local one, never use it. Shaws up Dodworth much better plus they actually give you a decent sized fish portion not a battered Stickleback.
Used to be a big fish portion but expensive . Not been for a long while so things could have changed . They were big queues at one time .

Not just best in Barnsley, best I've ever had
The main, near the cricket ground at a Wombwell. Fried in beef dripping, changed daily. Quality, locally sourced fish with a board saying when and where caught... cooked fresh to order as well.
Worst has to be Scorahs near New Lodge club.
Darf road chippy.
That’s been terrible for years.
