Due to work and other commitments I am unable to attend many games which is annoying but I have been able to get to the last 2 games Burnley and of course Bradford on Saturday. There were so many positives from both games especially the Bradford game but for me the best thing about the game at the weekend was the clear and notable improvement the players seem to be making as the season goes on.

In particular players like Mowatt, Thiam, McGeehan, Pinnock, Williams and Brown. The whole team were good at the weekend but to see how far those names have come is amazing. I have been very critical before of Thiam but each time I see him he seems to be getting better, he just needs to work on his finishing!

Mowatt and McGeehan have been brilliant in the last 2 games and have a real good partnership going now. Both just get better and better each week and for me Mowatt is the best player we have right now.

Pinnock just oozes class, he makes everything look so effortless and I never feel worried when he has the ball as I know he has the skill and composure to deal with it.

And then Williams and Brown have stepped up from the U23s and do not look out of place at all. Brown had the tough task of replacing Potts who was good until leaving for Preston and he was great at the weekend. Took his goal well, made some great runs forward, tracked back when needed and got a good assist at the end. Williams looked great too in both games too and just keeps getting better. On current form he has to be the 1st choice left back for me and he has such pace and athleticism.

Agree with all of that. I’m sunning myself in Spain so had to miss the Bradford match but watched it last night on iFollow.

Stunning football for this level. I can only see us going straight back up in May.

Hopefully we do go straight back up and ideally via automatic spots as the stress of the playoffs is too much to handle.

Play offs can be tricky not always the better side throughout the season goes up, sometimes coming with a late run of results is the way it goes.

Yep. Last time up I thought the Hourihane team was streets ahead of the other three play off qualifiers. Andy Ritchie's team were, I thought, the weakest of the four quality wise but had tremendous spirit.

On tour. Arrived Alicante and stayed at Santa Pola for two nights. Then Los Alcazares, then Mar de Cristal and off to Torrevieja tomorrow. Home Friday.
