in the Huddersfield examiner: http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/what-next-huddersfield-town-after-13109394 "No more Barnsley and Burton to think about for 2017-18."
Clubs like Barnsley. Based on the Huddersfield fans I know, whove stayed with Town through thick and thin like us on here, that doesn't reflect the mutual respect that I think exists, and a football supporters understanding of what it takes to get where they now are, and where they've journeyed from. Cheap journalism is the politest I can put it. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
Well they'll be big club in the championship when they come back down... fair play to em. We'll not be able to complete with em for the next 20 years, if ever again if they use the money well
I can remember when Town were last in the top flight. They were there for two seasons and were relegated in the 1971-72 season. They were relegated from the (old money) Second Division the following season and only spent a couple of years in the Third Division before heading in to the Fourth. I'm sure , in the modern era, parachute payments can prevent that sort of slide especially if the Club is well managed off the pitch.
