BFC Nostalgia lovers

I've been bought this book of BFC highlights from the national press 1910 to present day. Looks a treat.

 

My mate has got one, it's brilliant.

 

I'm currently reading " Lifting the Cup- the story of battling Barnsley 1910-12" by Mark Metcalf and David Wood
ISBN 1-845631-36-6. It's an in depth account of our illustrious Cup history when we won through to the
FA Cup Final twice. It brings that proud era to life, with game by game reports and lots of photographs.
It also pays tribute to the Reds fans of the day who during a period of political and social change, gave
the team their unswerving support, whilst facing personal privation.
The book goes into detail about the careers of of legendary players like Bob Glendenning, Tommy Boyle,
Wilf Bartrop, Dickie Downs, George Lillycrop, George Utley and the Cup winning goal scorer Harry Tufnell.
It's a riveting read and is a must have book for Reds fans who like me, love to read about the history of our proud Club.
