    Was 6/1 to come to Barnsley this morning. Now into even money.

    Know that could be a natural reaction to the Sam Winnall sale, but a pretty big swing in the space of 3 hours.

    If selling Sam to get him was the plan then I can see why the club have let him go.

    Someone who posts on here who has seen Omar Bogle play said that he was miles away from being a championship player . Fits the transfer policy though !

    How? he'd be too big a gamble at well over £1 million plus decent wages. You don't sign players for that much and pay them £1000 a week.

    Just watched some footage on YouTube he's a big athletic lad scores all sorts of goals I doubt he'd be first choice here at the moment but who knows if he's hungry enough he could be just the job hopefully not an Oddjob

    looks much better than Oddjob (I know Youtube can make anyone look good) but he looks a real talent hence why so many clubs are sniffing around - i think he would be a great signing for us

    I think we should go for him and do it now. Show him we're interested early and not just dead line day desperation. Think he could become a good signing.

    I worry, we are terrible at million plus signings - Sheron, Hume, Hristov. Only ones really worked and that's Ward.

    I think the days of spending 50k on a player and turning him into a 5m player might be over . We've got to try something though because we simply cant compete with the wages that other Championship teams are paying .

    My point is that if we want to or are prepared to pay £1.5 million for Bogle, which I highly doubt anyway, we are up against sides at our level who can blow our wage offer out of the water without trying.

    We won't pay 1.5m for anybody . £750,000 tops and 3k a week wages should get him .

    I just cannot see it. It wil be someone out of left field that is not creating the same noise and therefore is not on the radar of clubs who can blow our wages away.

    Maybe even a loan player or two.

    £1 million should get him, guaranteed Championship football for a season and half an all. Give him Sam's wages £4500 a week, that will probably treble his wages at Grimsby.
