Just listening to Andrew Taylor club captain on Talksport. No money for 5 months. Only 5 contracted players. Players defaulting on car n mortgage payments. Club staff out of work. No hot water in the club. No bottled water available for the few that have gone back to pre season training or to keep fit. They'll get wound up..........
Noticed that Hecky snapped up Josh Vela from Bolton recently. Probably a couple of years too old for us, but would've been a good signing nonetheless.
The best thing they’ve done- no need for single use plastics for water... not that that was the intention ha
3 weeks before the start of the season and the preferred bidders deal solely relies on getting the hotel as well which is under a completely different set of administrators. It's a farce and has been so since February, surely the FA and EFL have to step in and say enough is enough and give them till Monday at the latest From what I have read Football Ventures(preferred bidder) have applied to the PFA for a loan until it goes through, surely they have the funds set a side ready so why need a loan. Also all season ticket sales are pending and know money has been taken yet
I think the players are guaranteed creditors, so when the club is sold they should get their money. I don't know where it leaves them if they leave the club though. I'm sure the PFA could have helped the players financially in the short term.
I pay 5 pound a week to play, 13 if you include 6 aside. So yeah those lads are luckier than me. Ill play for em for nothing if they want to change all their kick off times to Sunday morning at 11am. I'm not available after a big Barnsley away day though so they'll have to get some ringer in for them games.
If they do start the season it is on -12 points plus a possible further deduction for failing to fulfil a fixture ( possibly an further 3 points) They have 2 goalkeeper.and 5 outfield players on their books and the rest of the playing staff are academy lads. Also their latest preseason game has be cancelled.
With just over 2 weeks til their first match of season, away at Wycombe, how long do the FL give them to guarantee they can fulfill a season? Seems crazy that they haven't been put out of their misery by now.
Never liked bolton since the prem promotion season. All them years in prem to this the simple question is "where has all the money gone?" They should be wound up but for some reason football seems to just carry on where any other business would have gone to the wall. Football is so corrupt it makes you wonder why we bother lol......
Yep. I remember it very clearly. I also remember the TOSS POT of a Bolton fan on the train after that 2-2 draw. Telling me how Millwall fans are alright, misunderstood, and that they had every right to come into the Barnsley sections of Wembley. I hope he, for one, is enjoying his football at the moment. WÅNKER.
I thought Bolton playera got paid a months wages by the EFL at the end of the season so they would play their remaining fixture, or was i dreaming it.
I think they did that around January too, if my memory serves me right. Look they just new a Glasgow rangers here.....relegate to bottom division...is admin .......start all over again.
Oh right, thanks for that. It seems like so long ago since the end of the season im forgetting stuff.
Never liked them since the last time we played them and there was a Bolton fan outside the ground saying "how have we ended up in the same division as Baaaaarnsley" He might be happy now we're not in the same division though!
