So again, this shows that we aren't/can't give at least 5500 like Newcastle had last season!! I really don't get it!!

The stand holds 6000, but the courseway at the back restricts the stand to under 5k? Isn’t that the story?

The stand isn’t even 20 years old and can’t be filled - can’t be right.

This seems to be the case, gone down and down and down in the space of just 12 months. Newcastle 5500, Leeds 5300, Sheff Wed & Hudds and now M'Boro under 4800!!

YT said the other week Sunderland could have had more but didn't want them. Well, it now looks like we won't have even 5000 in it unless something is changed!? So so odd when you see older & smaller (concourse area's) allowed to be full up above. Sheff Wed and United perfect example's of this!!

Because when there's more than a few hundred its carnage in the north stand.

Robbing kiosks, chucking ale, multiple smoke bombs, frigging in the rigging, walking on walls, pitch invasions, scrapping with stewards and so forth.

I'd cap ticket sales to 3k and stick them all up back of the stand.

Another reason I can see us in a brand new stadium somewhere else one day. New owners won't like the idea of a thousand unused seats in our newest stand not being sold or that we apparently spent a six figure sum on the west stand but still only allow half of it to be used. It will be more appealing to a new owner with no previous attachment to our ground to move us somewhere where every seat can be sold no problems.

Can someone from the club or part of the slo please explain why we cannot sell all the north stand tickets.

I don't know the exact details but it's due to H&S apparently. Decision isn't the clubs. Powers above. Bizarre really but there you go.

Yet you can go to Pride Park and be separated by a line of stewards. Bonkers.

I agree too the stewards don't seem to be able to cope with big numbers and it seems to be the in thing to climb the steels let smoke bombs off and act like a dick in the concourse and post it on social media... the problem with restricting it is you will then get away fans in home end.

It's a South Yorkshire thing. The common denominator has got to be SYP. Similar stories at The Sty and Bumhole Lane.

Indeed. I don't have the details though so chuff knows. I can only suggest those who attend any future meetings with SLOs etc bring this issue up.

Would have thought the more important question would be, why can't we sell out the home allocations?

Is it because of the concourse though or because of the behaviour of our fans? I only ask because I spoke to the police's football department (can't remember it's official title) last season and they told me they had restricted the tickets for away fans because of the trouble against Leeds and their belief that more fans in the ground means more chance of trouble between them

Size of town. Lack of premier league football. Limited investment into playing staff. Bigger local clubs in the area attracting potential fans. Rise of sky tv and the plastic fan. Cost in general of watching football coupled with low incomes and zero hour contracts in the area.

    What do you think?

Well we would have sold more tickets for the Huddersfield game last season if we were able to the east and ponty was sold out and most.of the West but couldn't open the far end. And I think the state of the stand puts people off sitting in there same with Walsall in the play offs.

Because half the population of the metropolitan borough who like football spend their time and money at bellend Road or swillsborough?
