It's bad enough when it's bigger clubs coming for our players, but some of the clubs we've lost players to really rankles with me. Scowen to QPR, Yiadom to Reading, Bradshaw to Millwall and now Preston being linked with one of our best players? None of them are better clubs than the reds. We as a club and fanbase should be aspiring to be doing as well, if not better than the lot of them. I hope we keep all our team together, add a few new faces and get back up there and shove it up them all - sideways!
Well currently they are all better - look at the league tables. In all fairness though Scowen going was our choice and Bradshaw went for family reasons and we seem to have done OK with Dougall and Woodrow as replacements for those two. Yiadom was money and when we were being relegated Reading offered more than we wanted to pay him - though but for injury he would have gone to the Prem of course. Potts would be a loss but its all about the fee silly money and we will sell - the model is still the same though hopefully we are a lot smarter this time
They're in a higher division. I accept that but not bigger or better clubs. We've fallen behind most of them through either not having the same financial clout. Time to be more ambitious.
Be laughing if we spend a million on a proper winger now to replace him, dunno why everyone’s automatically writing this off as bad business
Potts isn't a top championship player. Maybe we're aiming to get back up and replace him with better? It's a 'funny owd game' football. It could be that we now go out and bring a championship quality player in to replace him, on loan. Pott's on the other hand could go down like a lead balloon at Preston.
