Should really get a new contract in front of him. If the worse does happen he would be crucialin league one.

When he starts scoring more than twice ever 6 months no one will doubt him.

Hard not to feel sorry for him yesterday. In many respects he had one of his best games for us. He worked hard, took his chance and drew a string of free kicks from his positioning when the ball came down from the air. His through ball to Moncur was good but could have been delivered a second earlier, which might have given Moncur more chance of a composed finish. But having said all that, does he really fit the style of play we are striving for? He hasn't really the physique for hold up play, and he doesn't create that much off his own efforts. I can see him being behind Thiam or Payne in the pecking order for a hold up striker and behind Ugbo in the competition for the pacy finisher. As the season goes on, injuries and suspensions will have their part to play and he will probably get game time. But I wonder if he will hold down first choice ranking when the season gets going. A trier for sure - especially yesterday - but this is not a sentimental game, as George Williams would attest.

I bet he's chuffed being behind the pecking order to three other strikers that haven't scored or kicked a ball in anger for us .

I don't think that he's down the pecking order here. He'll have many partners this season though. I'd still be suprised if he isn't first choice. Did reallt well today. Clearly a confidence player.
