Maybe, but he's also correct in the linked video. But don't let your hatred of him get in the way of facts.
Where did I say that he doesn't make some valid points? Think you need to calm down. My point was about him. It makes it hypocrisy because he is right in what he preaches but lives by the opposite rules. Thanks for your advice though.
Great article by Owen Jones "But socialism is nothing personal: it is not concerned with individuals and their origins, but rather with a system that concentrates wealth and power in so few hands. It advocates a society run on the basis of people's needs, rather than profit for a small elite. The daughter of a dinner lady or the son of an aristocrat should be equally able to embrace this vision. If Queen Elizabeth wishes to abdicate and join the fight against this unjust society, then comrade Liz would be welcome on the picket lines." http://www.theguardian.com/commenti...vy-socialist-worker-article-polar-bear-attack
this^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Brand always nails it,aye reight ask Ed Millband after he squirmed though that interview with him the other day. And he's certainly on the boil when he says don't vote! Just can't see why people can't see the guys a lovely person of the highest order
Totally agree with most of that except a lovely person is useful, this moron Brand is useful for nothing.
Anything that keeps him away from "acting" is a good thing but can't believe people take his sixth-form politics seriously.
He is that indeed but while ever he has his army of Brandettes hanging on his every word he'll continue to believe he's some kind of guru, a kind of beacon for the politically apathetic.
Thing is when he's having a pop at things like the bankers and money markets , do you think old Russell has his millions in a post office account or summat?
Do you think everybody who listens to him genuinely share his views or is it the personality that they are actually hypnotised by? I mean until today he wasn't even voting. He's so sick of the political elite that his actions to change things were limited to him pontificating via his YouTube channel. If he wasn't such a hypocrite I might give his views a bit more attention.
So because he's wealthy himself, he can't hold that opinion? Only poor folk can complain? It's not about how funny he is (or isn't), nor his acting skills (or lack of) and neither should it matter that he's done well for himself or that he's a recovering addict, it's about the message. And I believe it's on point and I find myself largely in agreement with him.
