Why are they not reporting on the continuing trouble in France. If it was Syria or Iran there would be journalists falling over themselves to make a report. To date 12 people have been killed and hundreds seriously injured, yet no reports over here. I wonder why.
Just wondering are the protests still on going as our lass is going paris with on saturday with her mates from work
It is still being widely reported the trouble over there. A simple Google search of Paris riots..... https://www.google.com/search?clien...33.2......0....1.........0i20i263.J-5u4y-1Pqw Daily Mirror, Independent and Daily Mail among the UK media who have done stories these last few days.
Maybe too busy telling us about the tiny handful of people trying to do a reverse Dunkirk. I constantly find it astonishing how little is reported about Europe and whats happening there. At times, you literally have to be on the continent to know whats happening there. I've often found the world news programmes on bbc and the news before 6am to be much more interesting and wide ranging than the rubbish they repeat all day everyday.
10 people killed, last one was 22nd December. 94 serious injuries, 1 still in a coma. All from a quick Google search. BBC even has a dedicated page for it https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/topics/cpzg2d6re0lt/france-yellow-vest-protests You're welcome.
There seems to have been a rather big story that has been dominating the news programmes for quite a while now but the subject escapes me for the minute
They don't report in it in fear of people in this country getting ideas and starting riots. It happened with that Mark Duggan thing that kicked off. At the time there was a lot reporting of riots in the US after police officers shooting people.
Because the Pro EU media in this country do not want us to see what happens when people finally rise up against the crushing of peoples' living standards.
The Government have put a D Notice on the reporting of the violence in France. We don't want the fascists smashing our streets up. After the death of Jo Cox the nut jobs are capable of extreme violence and we don't have enough Police to cope with it.
When it comes to nutjobs and extreme violence the far right and the far left are two cheeks of the same arse. Anyway, its not under a D notice given they are no longer used. Nor is it an enforced media black out. The information is out there on multiple UK media outlets but is not reported as major news as akin to a cover up. Anyway, those protesting are from accross the entire political spectrum far left, far right and everywhere inbetween. Even allowing for the laws of average that in a 100k of people some will regardless be up for some good old fashioned violent riots the overwhelming majority of the protestors lean towards non violent means. To call them a facist is doing them an injustice. I would say infact the only facists attending the protests are employees of the state.
If its pro EU, crikey, I'd hate to imagine what it would be like if large parts of the media, and notably the people they ask to contribute with the angle they want to portray, the media being rabid brextremists.
No longer in use? Thay are called DSMA notices now and were only reworded in 2017 so I think they are still used. This was from Wikipedia. In 2017, the notices were reworded and then reorganized into the following categories: DSMA-Notice 01: Military Operations, Plans & Capabilities DSMA-Notice 02: Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Weapon Systems and Equipment DSMA-Notice 03: Military Counter-Terrorist Forces, Special Forces and Intelligence Agency Operations, Activities and Communication Methods and Techniques DSMA-Notice 04: Physical Property and Assets DSMA-Notice 05: Personnel and their Families who work in Sensitive Positions On 7 March 2018 and on 14 March 2018 two notices were issued to protect MI6, in relation to some aspects of the Skripal affair (Poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal). In the early 1990s Sergei Skripal was recruited by Pablo Miller, the MI6 agent inside the Estonian embassy in Tallinn. The MI6 officer under diplomatic cover in Moscow at this time was Christopher Steele. Miller was also the handler of Skripal after he went to jail and was released by Russia in a spy swap. Both lived in Salisbury. Steele and Miller worked for Orbis Business Intelligence which compiled the controversial "Trump–Russia dossier", comprising 17 memos written in 2016 alleging misconduct and conspiracy between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the Putin administration. While the precise nature of the relations between Skripal, Miller, and Steele were hidden, enough was already known to raise sharp questions about Skripal's ongoing involvement with British intelligence
Stopped being D Notices in 93. Became DA notices then prior to their latest incarnation the DSMA which incorperates the work undertaken by the intellegence services as well as the armed forces. Even then they are not leagally binding only advisory. Even with the recent issuing over the Sailsbury poisonings a number of outlets ignored fhe requests.
