Just seen Stendel on a space hopper in Aldi at Claycliffe. He didn’t mention going to a club that has nothing left to sell, a death trap of a ground and an ancient squad on massive wages.

Wouldn't have thought that there was too much between us and Wednesday at the present: seriously :)

Well aside from History, reputation, turnover, quality of the squad and fanbase.
    We are who we are.

I’ve literally never done that. Think it’s necessary in the current landscape. I repeat if they aren’t willing or going to to put any of their own money into the club, but will be taking money out when available (even on a higher level as you appear to believe, which I don’t)- what exactly is the point in them?
Sounds more like a parasitic relationship even by your own description.

What makes you think they're going to take money out of the club in the short term when all evidence appears to be on the contrary?

Regarding your last point: if you genuinely can't see the benefit of having a consortium of wealthy, intelligent and reportedly incredibly successful businessmen and women running our football club (even if, as you say, they're unprepared to spend their own coin here) then I cannot possibly hope to change your mind on their strategy and our future. Can I?

I was looking for an answer as to what you felt the owners could do to benefit the club without any financial backing and you’ve responded that you feel they bring business acumen and they are wealthy- again I consider them being wealthy as totally irrelevant as we won’t see a penny so in that case it’s business acumen.
I am suitably unimpressed by the clout of the new sponsor and they’ve taken half a year to find a new ceo so I disagree on that one too. But at least you’ve answered the question!

Even putting aside the rumours we already have a new guy in place, 6 months is nothing to find a new CEO. Absolutely nothing. It takes some business far larger than ours much longer than that.

Regarding the sponsorship deal, I'm not really in any place to pass judgement on it as I know nothing about the particulars of it. Just because it's not a household brand or a betting company doesn't necessarily make it a bad one. It may feel like that to some because they think having a well known sponsor is synonymous with being a big successful club, but it's not. The club says it's the largest of its kind in the club's history and, if so, that'll do for me. The proof in the pudding regarding revenue will be in next set of accounts, not in whatever ugly logo we currently have plastered on the shirts.

    Hehe.

Basket case club, in real trouble in these coming years when they fail to win promotion.

You need to pick a club like Leeds or Fulham.

Gone from 12s to 8s since I posted the link. Someone's been putting cash on Stendel going there, but I just don't see it.

Down to 8 t0 1 third favourite when I looked, but those falling odds are just based on daft people willing to place a bet on him, probably with no knowledge of what is happening at Hillsborough. I think he will not be picked, before you even consider whether the extra money would take him away. --- I hold the positive view that even if it did, we have the "Deputy" in place already won over by the pressing tactics, and learning at the moment. We are doing it the old Liverpool way. (Shankley, Paisley, Dalglish.)

Looked at a Wednesday forum and they havent even mentioned him in a top 5.
I think thete are plenty of candidates with no job at the moment, for them to explore.

Chris Hughton is a really nice guy. After his treatment at Newcastle and Brighton I wouldn't wish Wednesday on any one let alone such a good bloke.

I bumped into Stendel this morning. He was eating a bacon and sausage sandwich. Read into that what you will.

Most CEOs will be on a 6-12 month notice period.
