Post Office Vaults, just up from New Street station toward Victoria Square.

Sun on the Hill up toward Colmore Row.

Brewdog about 2 mins outside New Street station, off Hill Street.

Not brilliant for boozers Birmingham centre but there's a few to be getting on with.

You can or you can walk 20 mins from the centre, down past the bull ring and on toward digbeth/small heath. There's a good pub called The Old Crown in digbeth on the way to the ground but I think it's mainly home fans. Do not go near any pub within a few mins of the ground, they're home fans only and grim on a whole new level.

Few of us going up to broad street. Many pubs/sports bars on there. About 10 minute walk from train station.

Cherry Reds opposite Brewdog is pretty good. The Anchor on Bradford Street is on the way to the ground - worse than it used to be, but still decent and a short walk.

Just been having a couple in the old stock joint up near the cathedral and Colmore Row, another good pub I'd forgotten about.

There's also a few decent bars (pitcher and piano, all bar one and the like) around brindleyplace if you want something a bit more upmarket, and a great little pub on the canal (canalside cafe) that does some great vegetarian food. Broad street next door is a bit of a shithole but there's plenty of eateries/bars/pubs there as well, other end of the city to St Andrews though.
