Anyone seen it? Not paid £600 wage. Causes considerably more than £600 worth of damage. Sorry I can't share it as I don't know how to via my phone.
Will cost him more than 600 quid now. His job, thousands to pay for the damage and maybe a prison sentence.
I can understand the anger and frustration in not being paid for a job done but that is not the way to deal with it. He's an idiot.
Rumour as it that his contractor had put his money through and it was a fault due to a glitch with Lloyd's Bank, so obviously he smashes up a Travelodge who haven't done a thing wrong.
Should be charged with attempted murder. Another angle shows him deliberately driving straight at a man who is trying to stop him. Lock the psycho bastsrd up and throw away the key. He might be missing £600 but shouldn't ever be given a penny again Oh he also as he's escaping swings the arm deliberately at people trying to hit them
Yup. Criminal record, fines, prison sentence, possible mental health act ramifications, loss of reputation, struggle to get another construction job. Then you’ve to consider whether the building company have certain ‘connections’ too (which many do), so the above could be least of his worries if they get hold of him.
I'd argue that every single murderer or attempted murderer has mental health issues. It doesn't excuse them though
The construction industry is notorious for poor payment and often the builders delay or find ways not to pay, often not down to standard of work, just purely cos they have gone over budget and take it out on the Subbies. Having said that, there is no excuse for this, there is another video from inside the building and you can see other trades and all their equipment working in the area he drove into, not only has he cost the builder significant costs and delays but has also damaged his fellow subbies livelyhood and risked their lives. He will end up with a prison sentence and will struggle to work again on a construction site again as a result
Work in the building next to this one on Edge Lane in Liverpool - just thought how good it was looking last week. Was being the operative word .....
I'd hope it would be a bit more than a struggle to get another construction job. In fact, I would say that anyone who would even consider hiring him should have their company struck off.
It may turn out not to be the case here but to follow up on @lk311's point big businesses in general are shocking at paying small businesses and sub-contractors. In 20 years of running my own company I don't think I ever once got a single invoice paid on time by any of my major clients and it wasn't unusual for it to take up to double the payment terms and a lot of chasing before I saw my money. Plus of course the invoices that simply didn't get paid, including one which years later I'm still waiting to see if I'll get 1p on the pound for from the liquidators. None of which excuses this guy's actions, of course, but part of me shares his frustration at feeling powerless on the supplier side of a relationship with big business.
Not getting paid on time/at all by site foremen who think that they are god is common in the construction industry, no one knows what circumstances tipped this guy over the edge but you can bet whoever made the decision not to pay him is regretting it now.
The way many larger companies treat smaller ones and subcons is appalling and should be illegal Not all do it I do a lot of work for a large EU company and they almost always pay on time - and most apologetic if some error causes a few days delay - but many other companies think nothing of agreeing to pay 30 days after receiving an invoice - which is already after they got the work completed with no intention of paying until months later - if at all. I remember in my first job - I had a training in all the different departments and was surprised when I spent a week in a department that had to chase orders when they were not delivered on time - almost always the reason was we were on stop until we paid overdue invoices, it seemed the approach was only to pay when the supplier withheld future deliveries I can understand the guys frustration but clearly that is a totally wrong way to handle it - he obviously just lost it and probably regrets it now Occasionally it can be very satisfying to be on the other end - in a previous job I was an operations manager and ran service for major electronic production equipment for a equipment manufacturer. Most of our customers had service contracts with guaranteed response times for an engineer on site in case of an equipment failure. After several months of "delays due to sign off" by one client despite me continuing to provide support I pulled the engineer - the outrage from client at me treating such an important customer so badly and complaints about the costs of being production down was quite funny , fortunately my MD was on the same page and when he got the call from their CEO he was fully behind my action. It took less than a day for them to "fix" the "sign off" problems. Unfortunately that option isnt often there especially for small businesses and individuals
