re-formed like AFC Wimbledon did. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...l-begin-life-in-10th-tier-of-english-football I am pleased for their fans.
Our former Sales Manager where I worked, was a big Shakers fan. He will be made up with that news as will their other dedicated supporters.
Are they using gigg lane or moving to a smaller place, great news, ref IOM its gonna cost clubs loads to travel over there, alot of money in relation to the budget of the teams that low down the pyramid
I bet it's not actually much more expensive than a coach to away games. just had a quick look - £40 return for a ferry per person. Not cheap, but unlikely to put clubs out of business as a single trip per season. Especially if they know about it before hand and can budget for it. They'll get bulk discounts too, you would imagine.
Afc Wimbledon are Wimbledon imo, football clubs belong to the communities they came from. Good news for Bury, should never have gone in the first place.
Guernsey are paying for their opponents to fly across and back for all their home games - and they are flying out to every away games. Not sure how sustainable that is on crowds of ~700.
Great news for the fans. If Barnsley were in the same position and were not allowed to join the pyramid system. I couldn't contemplate watching football again. In any other guise. Love Barnsley hate football.
Great news for fans of the former Bury to have a brand new club to support, but curious why you want that.
Guernsey FC play in the combined counties league probably the same level in the pyramid. I believe that Guernsey must pay the travel costs for their opponents for games in Guernsey. I think that is probably feasible as they get crowds of up to 1000.
They are both in the league above (Premier Div) this season but not looking good for Athersley Rec who are well adrift at the bottom
I’m the same, certainly no interest in premier league or champions league. Brother in law drags me to Preston but tbh no interest in football as a neutral.
they should not have been put the sword in the first place, The so called owners should have been the ones to suffer NOT the fans. I hope they do make a success of this.
