my motm yesterday. Picked up lots of second ball in midfield. Found a red shirt with much of his passing. Growing into the job and good luck to him after a long recovery from his broken leg. The lad is improving and is also getting more aggressive in the tackle. Credit to Daniel and the team for showing patience in him and giving him the opportunity he deserves. His reaction with the fans at the end of the game said it all.

Will give DS a hard choice to make when dougall is fit again. For me dougalls game had dropped abit in a few appearances before his injury.

    I agree.

When we signed him I had very high hopes but up to just before the Luton game this season I wasn’t really sure what his strengths were and what he brought to the team. Since then though he has stepped up massively in my opinion and put in some good performances.

    Keep it going Cam!

I agree with you. The competition will good for Kenny. As I understand it defensive midfield is not Cams best bame. I think he can also complete with Potts for a more attacking role

Yes, the lad has done well & deserves a run in the team. He's proved me wrong, as I didn't think he was suited to that position.

Seems to be improving a bit every game, not much wrong with his shift yesterday.

Best I’ve seen him play yesterday & I thought he edged Lindsay, Mowatt & the new keeper for man of the match. It was the sort of performance I didn’t think he’d got in him

I’m really pleased for him - I was disappointed with him before as I felt he just “kicked the ball forward” rather than pass the ball. He’s showing the reason we bought him

I was in the home end, stood fairly close to a quite annoying drum. The Stanley fans felt we bullied them all way through the match and thought Mcgeehan and Mowatt bossed the midfield. They also thought we were a bit of a long ball team.

God help us if we ever allow a drummer into Oakwell. It's got to be one of the most irritating noises and so many grounds have them these days.

Long ball team? We sometimes are, yes, but we are also a short triangles, pass it across the back team as well. We can mix it up as the pattern of play dictates. It's good to have players that are flexible in their approach to the game, along with a management team who are the same.

Nothing but good stuff to come this season. I don't want it to finish.

Agreed. Doing a really good job there. Misplaced a few passes yesterday, but they all did at times.

You’ve got to figure out different ways to win different games if the game dictates longer passing then so be it teams these days seem to be obsessed with short intricate passing it’s all about figuring out the best way to get 3 points. I see it as a positive they saw us as a bit of a long ball team as we all know we are very good at playing short as well it shows we have players with the vision and composure to play both long and short to get a result. It also makes it harder for teams to analyse our performances and second guess how where going to set up if we can do both.

Yeah certainly improving, not sure he'l ever be a championship player but looks a good back up option to have in the squad

To be fair , when Dougal got injured I thought we would struggle to fill his spot , however McGheehan has done a sterling job , you have only got to look at the goals conceded column to see he is doing really well as the role plays contributes a lot to our defensive play .
