Admiral multi car policy. Last year 600 ish this year 807. Rang em and said anything you can do would hate to move but it’s too expensive, they asked if I had another quote I used last years quote. They knocked 150 off with no changes or haggle. As said robbing barstuards praying on those that won’t bother looking round.

I did wonder that about the annual fee. It just seems like they make it up as they go along.

    Edit.

It's a premium retention fee. Here's a screen shot of it

I renewed mine yesterday with Admiral.
They wanted £315.90 for fully comp, I phoned them & said it was too high & I won't be stopping with them. Then I got a new quote from them for £268.70, so my car insurance has gone up by £2.56 from last year. :D happy days..

Its all a massive con I usually have to switch insurers every year - though I use a Broker to do the leg work as the renewal on my policy is usually up by around £200 on the previous year - it was £300 more last time but on changing again the difference was around £15 more. Important to note some of the cheaper online ones dont give you as much cover as the likes of Aviva and Zurich etc - for example I do several European trips and people like Direct line, Admiral etc only give minimal 3rd party cover unless you pay significantly for each trip. If you never go abroad its not a problem of course but there are other details as well like Admiral stop their policy in the case of a write off or theft so you don't get the balance carried on to a new car.
Its a pain having to go through the fine print every year to check that you don't lose anything important

I love how obsessed you are by it :D I’ve had a free tv, £250 graphics card, microwave, George Foreman, plus over £400s worth of bits and bats in the space of 2 years. Mock me all you want, I’m happy ;)

You’ll need to cancel the premium then (it’s easily done). You must have accidentally signed up to it. They’ll take £5 each year but they only take it out of cashback earnings which is why it’s bits at a time as you earn it. If you don’t make £5 that year then they won’t take it out of your bank.

Just had a nice email from Gocompare who are sending me a cheque for the cashback.

I raised a claim with Quidco but nothing seemed to be happening, so contacted Gocompare directly and they were on the ball with it.

    Happy days!
