Did not see it like that Toby. Just had a quick look who the top teams play in the remaining games and i think this will be the final table. Luton 96 points. Barnsley 92 points. Charlton 91 points. Portsmouth 88 points. Sunderland 86 points. Then Donny coming in 6th. Hope I'm right.
Thought we blew them away first half, some great footy. Thought all the men who were below par b4 today came good in particular Mcgeehan. Far too good for Fleetwood.
It's **** or bust time. We must keep winning. Sometimes we might leave ourselves open to counter attacks. It's how it is. We scored 4 and could have had more. 17 shots, 7 on target. That'll do for me. On to Friday.
This post as Ebola written all over it. I’ve been moaning all season we’re not taking our chances. Now we score 4 can’t argue with that
Oh....go on then. I'll explain. First half one of their players was made to look like Hazard as he tiptoed through our defence, only for a last ditch block to stop him. Davies nearly gave a goal away when he suffered oxygen deprivation after leaving his area and gave their player an open goal. Second half the same Fleetwood striker had the same opportunity twice when easily put straight through on Davies, who did brilliantly twice. Both their goals were chronic defending. When they went down to 10 they still were likely to score. Too many of our lot are inconsistent, despite having the talent. This leaves Pinnock and Mowatt, and possibly Woodrow with the job of performing consistently at the required level each game. Whilst the rest struggle to do the same. It's my opinion. I'm entitled to it. On the positive side we took our chances well.
I know this post is a wind up but with 3 points between us and Charlton in 5th it is of course a lottery who will get promoted (as the Sunderland result showed) and I'm sure it'll go to the last game. At which point I'll go for a long walk in the countryside or sit in a darkened room and listen to whale music. I'm hoping this team will be galvanised further by the assault on our manager.
