Worth keeping for that goal-saving tackle against Brentford alone.

I don't want us to have a mass sale but I think center back is our strongest position. Lindsay was okay last season some good games distribution was poor very often though. Can't say I'd lose sleep if we did sell but don't forget he is only 22 and has great potential and still 2 years on his contract no selling for peanuts if we do sell please.

A number ? Not sure who tbh . LL will only get better so it would be foolish to sell now when there’s two years left on his contract . If the powers that be want to go straight back up then they really have to show some intent , not only for next season in the alehouse league but if we go up we’ll need the better players to progress . It’s a big window for us and we’ll draw conclusions from the calibre of signings we make . As regards the new coach/manager it’s ok going for the cheap option but they have to be able to attract the better players to the club too .

Really. One swallow doesn't make a summer. Bang average for me. Alright for the squad but prefer Pinnock and Jackson.

And people keep saying that Jackson & Pinnock will step in but don’t seem to be realising that both have been injury prone & unlike Lindsay can’t be relied upon to be available.

If we sell Lindsay we’ll have to buy another first choice centre back so any fee needs to be substantial

Pinnock couldn't get in the side early on when he did got two motm performances Preston home and Sunderland away. He then broke his toe in training hardly a reoccurring injury.
I like Lindsay but some on here hype him up that much it's unreal he has had some good games and some poor ones his passing has been awful at times. But still only 22 plenty of potential.

If it's a championship club needs to be £2 million & sell on, or they can go an fook themselves.

We need three good centre halves and a decent back up. I'd need to be convinced there was a better or as good as option available at less money if we were to sell.

That wasn’t early on that was Christmas / New Year time. He’d already had a couple of months out injured & then broke his toe later on & missed another couple of months later on.

On here Pinnock’s far more overrated than Lindsay. On every thread people talk as if Pinnock’s a world beater & although he’s shown some promise he’s barely been fit

He couldn't get in heckys team at the start Jackson and Lindsay had formed a good partnership. Jackson got injured Angus slackdonald kept having a mare and hecky subbed him at half time v reading never to be seen again pinnock got his chance did well and unfortunatey got injured with the broken toe.
Pinnock definatly isn't he was wrote off by many after he was given a run out in the cup against morcombe. Like I said I like Lindsay but anyone would of though we had maldini in defence for someone who is supposed to be a ball playing center half he struggles to pass to a team mate who is 10 yards away.

Young lad, making a huge career move down south, stepping into the championship in a team that is often getting over run through midfield and at full back. With no really experienced head behind, next to or in front of him.

Think he did bloody well for his first season. And he will dominate League 1 next to Pinnock and Jackson.

We would be insane to sell him now. Roberts struggled in championship at first. Mawson looked a calamity at times in League 1 his first season with us.

This is a factual and accurate post , when I read some of the comments on hear , I do wonder about our fans football knowledge. This was reflected in there votes for player of the year

He got injured early in the season & missed a couple of months. He got his chance earlier in the season but got injured.

At one point November time we were down to just Lindsay & Pearson available

Agree. Seeing Potts above Lindsay on the player of the year vote was ridiculous

I agree, but I also think Potts was thrown to the wolves. Straight in to the team the day after he signed. L2 to championship. Firstly playing right wing, then playing in a two next to Moncur.

His confidence got absolutely destroyed. Although he never hid. Another player I think will be vastly better in League 1. His driving runs and late runs into the box will be very very hard for L1 teams to deal with.

The single biggest problem we had was too many players jumping too many levels in one go. Let’s all see what they can do next year. And with the right coach to bring the best out of individuals and the team we should have a cracking season.

For me the Players’ Player is, for me, the true indicator of who is the best player.
