Stats skewed by the god awful decision to play Armstrong every week and not to drop Kent when he was abysmal for months

Kent was contracted to play 75% of games and played exactly that .
    Don't know about Armstrong .

Kent played far more than 75% didn't he?

I read it on a Liverpool site which reviewed game time for their loaned out players .
I can't find it at the moment , if I do I will let you know .

According to soccerbase we played 49 competitive games this season and Ryan Kent played in 47 of them

This rumour continues to be repeated. Does anyone actually have any evidence that he was contracted to play 75% of games?

I was under the impression that the deal was we paid a set figure if he played less than 75% of games and a set but lower figure if he played more than that. Essentially a deal with add one based on appearances but deductions rather than addons

If it was full games only (as in the full 90 minutes) then it still makes no sense why he was played in games which didn't contribute to it

    Quite an interesting premise.

This goes to show that there's very little correlation between experience and league position.

Its a pretty mixed bag. Forest barely stayed up with a largely inexperienced side, yet Preston and Leeds were in and around the top 6 towards the end of the season. Brighton and Wednesday finished in the top 6 with largely more experienced sides, whereas QPR and Cardiff struggled for the majority.

The more successful sides do tend to be at the lower end of this table, but not exclusively so.

Its more about who you sign rather than their age I suppose.

I don't think it does as even the highest club on that list it only works out at around 3 players in the starting 11 each week and doesn't take into account the age of the other 8 players. Did the relegated sides play 1 young kid and 10 21 year olds or 1 young kid and 10 30 year olds? Without the full stats it shows nothing really

Either way, it just seems like a rumour to me. What I'm asking is, where is this from? Because I've not seen any evidence of any deal so far. Happy to be proved wrong like, but just seems an odd one.

There's a lovely statistic from last season that had us 4th if the games finished after an hour. I can't find it though right now.

I am no coach but I think our energetic style tired us after the hour, and that's where nous and experience helps.

All knowledge to take forward. Great first year back up. Now to take the lessons on and hopefully push on.

It is apparently policy at Liverpool under Klopp that all loaned out players are subject to a higher fee if they aren't played in 75% of games and has been confirmed for at least one player

Cheers, just googled it and found one article on it in liverpool echo. Sure i heard hecky deny it also though. If it is the case it's a bit of a joke in my opinion. Can understand Liverpool wanting players to play, but surely players also have to be willing to fight for places. Doesn't set a good precedent.
