In my opinion, being a pensioner offers no extra benefits, it all depends on your no claims discount. I went with Saga when I retired then the premium shot up the year after. I changed to LV who were offering 70% no claims and i have been with them ever since. Since then Saga are offering special deals for new customers. I'd get a quote off them or Direct Line who don't use comparison websites.
I get a better discount from the Post Office, but it's still average and I passed my test in 1967 and not one blemish on my license. Bus pass is o'right though
Why should pensioners get cheap insurance when they 'earn' more than workers for doing bugger all other than slow down traffic and keep undertakers in business. Scandalous.
I can't wait to be retired, been thinking about it since I was 30. Still can't get my head around them being better off than the working though.
Has it never occurred to you that being better off is a by-product of the working life that person has either enjoyed or endured. My 40 years of RAF and Civil Service employment has provided me with two decent occupational pensions. That is 40 years of service, freely and gladly given so I am enjoying the rewards. Do you have a problem with that?
I'm another one with esure. In fact I have both my cars with them. Had to have a new windscreen last year, and esure made sure it was a branded Land Rover one, heated etc.
No, do you have an irony insensitivity? Ayyway, worked it out, it was household income after housing payments, most retirees have paid up on their mortgage.
