got 39 players out on loan!!!!!!! Can't sign anyone for the next 2 transfer windows due to breaking rules about signing players under age of 18. 39 players....... the mind boggles
and according just now on Talksport there's another 4~5 clubs who will be getting the same. I'll guess, Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool and Sheffield Wednesday
Bobby Hassell has mentioned this going off in a recent interview. That's why our club has to cast it's net wider for young players. The big clubs get a slight inkling on a player and are snaffling them off the tit so to speak.
buying up other players just sto stop anyone else getting them - and most will just get cast aside. No good for the player or other teams or the game. Don't they limit squad sizes - inc younger ones? If not they should.
Said this for ages. They should just be allowed a youth squad of x amount of players. The premier league must hoard 100s of young players on daft money who are never likely to get anywhere near the first team squad. These players should be in the football league playing full time for clubs not being loaned out
they actually use it as an income stream - sign all the youngsters up, then loan them out and charge loan fees.
Quite the problems they have now. If they get shut of the manager who's going to take over unable to bring in players? Hazard wants to join Real Madrid but selling their only world class player when they cannot cover his loss would be silly, but his contract doesn't have long left. 39 players loaned out shouldn't be allowed. I see why they do it though. Better to send them abroad and to other English sides to play competitive means football instead of against other youngsters.
When it happened to Barcelona they appealed and then spent 200 million quickly before the ban came into force!
I noticed that, apparently the lad wasn’t registered but played a few games, I can imagine the other teams are investigating if a points deduction changes any of the league placings that year
Long overdue. They are strangling the game and stifling young talent because of ...err....greed !! You couldnt make one moral argument for their business model regarding young players
