Just a polite request for any tips for Cheltenham on Thursday if anyone would be so kind. Going on a jolly and really don’t have a clue.
    TIA.

    My eye is taken by:

    2.05 Dame De Compagnie
    2.40 The Bay Birch
    5.00 Sister Sibyl

The other races look quite tricky.

Hope you had a good afternoon, ATYKE1. What an extraordinary situation with the abandonment of the fourth race (a long distance chase) due to the risk to the horses of heat exhaustion. That seems to have been controversial with some of the trainers, although they, the jockeys and the vets were consulted before the decision was taken. I must say that on telly, Cheltenham looked magnificent in the spring sunshine, and I imagine getting around the course must have been considerably more easy than it usually is during the festival. May well be one for the calendar next season, I think!

Sorry for the late reply - just got home.
Many thanks for the tips - Cheltenham is a fabulous course.
We were in one of the restaurants on a package and the communication there was a little slow so we were a bit clueless with the abandoned race until the next one was announced.
Have to say that as a seasoned horse racing fan you’d love the course at this time of year if you get the weather we did.
    Thanks once again.
