just cleared out my old programmes although kept a few. very nostalgic although perhaps that was the malbec. oldest ones from early 1980s v spurs and canaerthan town. just wondered if anyone still held on to to old programmes/ticket stubs from the really old days??
Your programmes will sell, the butchers shop on Sheffield rd did buy them (not sure if it's still there ). Do throw any away .
I have Barnsley ones back to 1962, including the Bolton one when we played them under floodlights - the very first game at Oakwell under lights. I have hundreds of Barnsley and other teams ones, the oldest being a Sheff Utd one from 1936 (I think, 1930s anyway). Often thought about selling them but wouldn't know where to look to get the best price. Bound to be some rip-off dealers around
Don't throw them away mate. Had loads from when I was a lad, early to mid 90's and a few from promotion season. Threw most out when I moved in with r lass. Big regret. Even if you don't want them someone will........
I've got almost every home one since around 1955. Most of the ones I am missing seem to be from the 61-62 season for some reason. If I come into some money I might start going further back, but the prices really start rising steeply pre-55. I'm also trying to get hold of at least one away programme from every team we've played. I'm only missing a handful that I know about, but friendly matches aren't that well documented, so occasionally one pops up that surprises me.
I must have close to a thousand knocking around - not all Barnsley ones - done a bit of ground hopping in my time
Hi I'm looking for program from New Year's Day 1990 v Bristol City. I was the mascots and been looking for it for years
The game was 1 Jan 91, not 90. I have the programme on my desk in front of me. Make me an offer and it is yours
Got every home programme since 1978, plus lots more from 50's onwards. Got thousands of other teams too. Be willing to sell others but never my barnsley ones
