Another superlative Barnsley Media production. Things I loved about it: Goals shown from multiple angles. The best one is from that camera at the side of the goal for our fourth. Browny leathers it in off the bar and it is hit with such force that it bounces down and back up again into the roof of the net. Love that THUMP as the ball smacks the underside and comes down. Wonderful! The quick u-turns by Cauley and Jacob immediately after the third and fourth goals. Both take a step or two away from our fans before realising they are going the wrong way, so they immediately turn back to give the fist salute to the crowd. I particularly like Cauley's understated celebration that he does after every goal. He has a slow, loping stride with one fist punching the air. None of that ludicrous knee sliding stuff (let's not risk any more injuries lads!) The sheer joy on the faces of players, coaches and fans after yet another great away win. This is bubbling up to be one hell of a season. I care not that we are in the Third Division. The football is of the superb variety and I don't want it to end any time soon PS I couldn't help thinking of Kieffer though, throughout the whole thing. He's seen getting off the bus at the beginning without a care in the world, not knowing that he would leave the ground in an ambulance. Very poignant that. Get well soon Kieffer......
These recaps are superb, congrats to the media team. As I posted the other day, imagine when the Tarn centre redevelopment is completed and sat in public square outside a cafe/bar or similar, watching that on a giant screen.
I know it’s the third division but it’s so much more fun winning games than a season of defeats and a fight for survival. Imagine how much easier life is in the media team. They have goals to show, more often than not a hat full from each game and a great away following. I definitely want us to go up but this season has been great as a supporter.
Excellent to watch , half feels like your at the game . Scored four and could have had about 14 on good chances .
Definitely getting there Whitey mate. That one was very good. If you could have just resisted the effects on the goal montage at the end it might have been perfect. Brave call to keep Stendel's coughing fits in, but the right one, a very human moment The fade and cut when the dressing room door shut was very professional. Well done. Incifentally, how cool is Gillingham's ground. Ive never been and didn't really know it, but it's brilliant Can't imagine the away end is much fun if it rains, but just to look at it wow. Proper ground, unique, different and fit for purpose
Have you seen under the "temporary" stand at the away end? Felt really safe when the drunken 13 year olds started jumping up and down in the gangway
We are glad as a media team that it’s something the fans enjoy. And whilst there’ll be little bits that aren’t to all tastes, and we aren’t exactly a group of Spielberg’s, it’s actually documenting Reds matches like never before. When you see a host of other clubs beginning to do similar videos, you know we’re doing ok. Let’s hope the season recap is a happy one. As for Gills away, I have to say when the fixtures were released in the summer it was the one I least wanted to attend. But I have to say that it’s a cracking little stadium. When we pulled up to it and realised it was off Redfearn Avenue, we smiled.
Priestfield is a fvcking dump. The stand we were in is basically one of the things they put up for the Open golf championship.
Brilliant piece of work by our media team. Thank to all concerned. As I've said before, looking at the way our boys interact with each other, it's clear they are " together" and genuinely get on with each other. Another thing I detected, is the respect that the lads seem to show towards Mamadou Thiam. That's good to see. Plus I honestly feel that Alex Mowatt is enjoying a new lease of footballing life and really looks to be enjoying playing for the Reds. Long may that continue.
An excellent watch, but could have done with showing Davies' 1st half excellent save & Mowatt's 2nd half block (crucial at the time). It's a team game after all.
