Wouldn't say I'm a fan but he was good when he presented the NFL on 5. And I'd much prefer to listen to him than some of the other crap that passes as football journalism. Keys and Gray, Alan Green.
He's protesting because talksport is now switched ownership to News Corp (The Sun). With Colin being a Liverpool fan and justice for the 96 etc... it's because of that Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
He's a Liverpool fan and can't stomach working for Murdoch/ News International who have just bought out TS.
News International (Rupert Murdoch ie the Sun and Times and Sky) have bought them and he doesnt want to be part of an empire that owns the Sun as he is a Liverpool supporter who never forgave them
Aye. I've no real opinion of him as a journalist but admirable to have the courage of his convictions.
^^This. Never really thought or knew much about him, but then, I don't listen to Talksport anyway. But good stuff from him, principled, I like that.
Its nearly a waste of time having presenters on the station anyway, I used to flick on and off it when I'm driving about working and 90% of the time when I tried it was bloody adverts, either 'proper' ads or the presenters reading them.
Disappointed. I listen when I can and love it. His shows are "average"(if you have listened you'll know what I mean) He fronted up the Millwall fans who called after the playoff finals. Shows are both funny and serious. Hope he gets another opportunity
Best show on the radio for me. I deliberately get to work a little bit later on some days just to get an hour in depending on who his guests are. Be interesting to see who they get to replace him. Some shockers on TalkSport who are probably in line for a promotion. His coverage from the Northern Ireland games in France was brilliant.
Cant listen to the bloke anyway, nearly as bad as Andy Goldstein. Get the two Mikes to take over his slot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The entire station does my nut in. Can't listen to it. Absolutely fair play to him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
