    What do we reckon?

If we beat them that would almost certainly end their faint play off hopes (would put us 14 points ahead of them with 5 to play).

They have a number of first teamers out through injury

    Anfernee Dijksteel
    Dael Fry
    Sam Morsy
    Marcus Tavernier
    Marcus Browne

Plus Britt Assombalonga has been discarded from the first team squad.

We have to be quietly optimistic.

Start Morris, Dike and Woodrow and give ourselves a chance of getting in front. if they struggle then fair play to Boro, but also Vic has always looked better off the bench than starting so would probably be best for him as well.

Did you see Warnocks interview saying we were up next and that he hoped we went up cos he loved barnsley and we were his favourite club as a player - reckons we'd ruffle a few feathers in the prem :)

Boro are one of those sides tbh , they’re just not there yet but not far off .
They are where they are on merit and are a tough side to beat .
They never know when they are beaten and I think they’ll be up there next season once Neil has had a summer with them and sprinkled some of his additions in the team ,
We’ll have to be at our best to beat them but it’s doable I’ll go 2-1 with a nervy last ten mins .

I don't see us losing this but it won't he easy. 1 goal in it at most I reckon.

Really tough match. But we are in touching distance now and I don’t think we will let it slip.

Never easy to beat (ask Watford), especially with Warnock in charge, but I think that we should edge it. Any chance of re-signing Paddy McCourt just for the one game? I will never forget that goal he scored against them at Oakwell and then wandered off the pitch as if to say, 'that's all, folks. I'll quit at the top. Cheerio now and remember me well with that goal. Over and out.'

Warnock was on about us before Easter break, said he really admires the way we play, said he's been heavily criticised for it in the past! One thing is for sure, despite having a number of players out he will have them well set up at the weekend and they will more than make a game of it. Be a tough one with one goal in it either way.

not gonna be pretty is it? Colin will be rubbing his hands at this I reckon. not because he expects to win, but more that he can tell his players to just go and get stuck in. time for players to keep calm heads. no daft reds

Am I right in thinking that Colin had a flower shop around the town end area once upon a time.

No easy matches now till the end. If we lose a game, it is how we respond. We bounced back from defeat to Wednesday with two strong, if not totally error free performances. I feel we'll need some strong rotation in the week we have three games, Coventry Sunday, Huddersfield Wednesday & Rotherham Saturday. Need to avoid injuries / suspensions & use the squad. Hopefully Kane will be fit. Jordan Williams & Halme & all 6 front men needed, maybe Odour, depending what he's showing in training. I think those 3 games will decide things, they are all winnable, form book would say Cov away hardest, but I think Hudds may be out for revenge & still not safe.

Is Herbie Kane definitely ruled out this weekend?
