I was a little late to my seat so can anyone confirm if there was a Community Player of the Year and a "Most promising Academy POTY". The latter award was previously given by Patrick Cryne and not to be confused with the Academy POTY.
Community player of the year was Hedges I believe. Not sure about most promising academy player, I think it was just academy player but I could be wrong.
Jordan Helliwell was the academy player of the year, and Ben Williams was the young player of the year. Didn’t hear about the most promising award this year.
Considering our policy is of playing young players it says a lot about how poor our squad is when young player of the year hasn't played for us.
Spoilt the surprise by announcing winners before they were announced on the pitch. Doesn't mean the same as it used to the awards handed out.
