Bit of chatter going around we've offered him a contract. 24 years old, Everton academy but been on loan at Oxford. 10 goals in 17. Striker.

    Still under 25. Free transfer.

Where did you here this mate? Decent record at Oxford, though his ten goals did include two hat-tricks.

    Hat-tricks do count!
And it's goal scoring strikers we need!

Since when did the 2nd and 3rd goals in hat-tricks not count?

That's an absolute YES from me. I can't believe they are releasing him after he did so well with Oxford United on loan. He is a light-weight striker and not a muscular target man, but look at his scoring record and I would be well pleased if we brought him in. After the three play-off games, I wouldn't go above £500/£750k for Ollie Watkins. If Derby are offering £3 million, they can have him. I thought he lacked something in the game which mattered, even though he did score. Not our type of player. Conor McAleny definitely

Ollie Watkins just looked like a donkey yesterday against Blackpool. Would much rather have someone else who has played at a better level. £3 mill is laughable (purely based on yesterday). You could see he had potential and wanted to know and I'm sure he'll be playing at one of the big teams in our league in the coming seasons but to pay a massive chunk like that for him is beyond me, as it would be for anything at that age in that league unless he was super young (Regan Poole who went to Man U).

Scored some blinders. Oxford offered him a contract apparently. Clearly not wanted by Everton. Been there a long time!

Twenty five in August and only played 52 league games. Not a good sign.

They do count I think point that was being made is he had a couple of blinding games for his hat tricks but a lot games drawing a blank rather than his goals more spaced out.

Yeah I was being a bit facetious haha but if you win 3-2 and one player scores a hat-trick they're worth even more

Aye, that was indeed my point. I believe one of the hat-tricks was in a 4-0 win against a terrible Chesterfield team. That's not to diminish it mind, you can only beat what's in front of you.
