Read this article in the Guardian - regarding the Forest take over - and it states that Conor was lined up for a move there before Villa.

    It's a quiet news day so I thought I'd share :)

Ha ha lined up. I don't think there's any way he would have signed for them. Conor knows Villa will be up there next season.

If they aren't relegated this season only 2 points off the drop zone.

I thought forest were trying to cut costs hence why they sold lansbury to get his 30k a week off the wage bill. Can't see them then signing Conor and giving him a big pay packet.

    Why?

More likely to be in League 1.

He might have been a target but I doubt he would have gone there. Villa is a much safer move if he hopes to play Prem football in the next couple of years. I expect them to go up next season. Forest can still go down this year

Usual tabloid news ......Whilst a few were interested (Wednesday being one of them) The ONLY team who came close & made a formal offer other than Villa were .......Burnley! Unfortunately they were too late to the party as the Villa deal was all but complete.

No, he knows Villa offered him more money. The extent the apologists go to on here is insane. Winnall however knew Wednesday would definitely be up there this season so chose his move with integrity.
