What makes a striker a striker? Why has Foster received little criticism this season? In my opinion sometimes you only see what you are guided to see!!! I rate Foster by the way.
The ability to score goals and a familiarity of playing in the strikers position. Because foster has been better than the person at the side of him.
If a player can't score anymore maybe he should try a different position? Has Foster been better I'm not sure but my focus has been on Wiseman!
A striker who is passed it in terms of scoring can always become a forward player who's job is to create goals for others. For example Andy Gray. I think Foster has been better than Wiseman but that is like saying that Jimmy Saville was a nicer man than Gary Glitter is.
could you say that everyone on the field is then a forward because there all striving to create for others and as the saying goes the best form of defence is attack
I am dying to know what your pay off line, I am sure you are leading Supertyke somewhere , but I cannot see where just yet!!!
I'm in the same boat as you madmark. It's leading somewhere but I haven't worked it out yet. I suspect it is harewood related.
Fozzie will be shatting his sen if Wiseman gets dropped, cos then our fans will revert to type and single him out for blame most weeks instead.
Think Fozzie has done OK this season............it really is a good job we re-signed him with McNulty getting injured. I alos don't beleiev Wiseman has been anywhere near as bad as some BBS'ers think...........he's simply a scapegoat. These last 5-6 games both our full backs have been far worse than the centre halves.
Goals this season: Done: 0 Harewood: 1 Dagnall: 2 Goals in last 3 seasons: Done: 10 Harewood: 10 Dagnall: 16 Games per goal last 3 seasons: Done: 7.6 Harewood: 4.6 Dagnall: 6.13 His goal scoring record is worse than two strikers he left out of the side and he's scored less goals this season than them as well.
What was Etuhu's strike rate like when he was turning out for the Mean Machine a couple of years back?
I don't know why Foster has ever received criticism. He's always been a solid, dependable player for us. He's not the best player we've ever had and occasionally he has a bad game, like all players, but his attitude is first class and if you pick him to play in your team he'll walk through a brick wall for you. The kind of player that gives professional footballers a good name.
Well said Jay. Foster has been great for us and its rare in the modern game for a player to be at a club for so long. I also think he's very underrated, his reading of the game is very good
No it was because Harewood was at Barnsley the season before last so I went from that season onwards.
