The other issue which has not been addressed is the extent to which Daniel Stendel's efforts were compromised by the release of important players who were still under contract. That does not justify a (alleged) breach of contract, but along with the failure to adequately replace those released it explains the current predicament of the club and the futility which many supporters currently share. There are always two sides to a story and I'm not prepared to give the club a free pass until I know a lot more about events thus far this season. Furthermore, I'd need to see serious action in January before I could be could convinced that this club is currently worthy of my ongoing financial support.
If he did speak with huddersfield at the time and wanted to leave. People said at the time they wouldnt blame him if he wanted out with how the board had stitched him up. Let's not forget the board sold Potts- replaced with jordan green in the middle of a promotion campaign stendel himself said he didnt want potts to go. Sold lindsay and pinnock the 2 centre backs of the best defence in league one, replaced with 3 players 2 from Mickey mouse leagues one from leeds 23s. Sold his top scorer kieffer moore 4 days before the window shut wasnt replaced. When stendel said after the Sheffield United freindly he needed experience to compete he never got it. Cant blame him reap what you sow, he isnt the bad one for wanting out of that.
I was looking for the words to put some perspective on this but couldn't find them. I'm pleased you did. The BBS has really gone bonkers tonight. It seems to be 100% swing in some peoples views.
He's entitled to be upset at transfers, entitled to complain, entitled to leave if he wishes. His contract doesn't entitle him to do as he did though and he knew as much. Sad, but there we go, no point in losing sleep about it.
Correct! I would Love to hear dannys take on this but we wont....reason....he has been allowed to leave with red tape cut...if he keeps his mouth shut.
Yeah all I'm saying is it hasn't changed my opinion of him. Not sure if he is trying to be made out the bad one but he was seriously let down by the board for the last 2 windows nobody can deny that.
No sorry helen...that bit is pure opinion. Happens loads though, you rarly get x coaches talking about their difficulties, once they have left. I guess we may hear ....how he was promised this that and the other after last seasons amazing success but then had the rug pulled and told to get on with it .....but that will be by other people at another time.
It’s most probable that SELLING and RECRUITMENT has again been at the heart of another disastrous relationship between our manager and these directors. Firstly Hecky and now Stendel. Hecky jumped ship - but told Ganaye weeks in advance that the next ship that passes he was going to jump on it. Stendel didn’t even have the courtesy to warn the directors. The interview by Paul Conway hasn’t filled me with confidence. Haven’t these directors heard of ‘priming the pump’?
If he breached his contract as they state can a football club terminate the contract without having to pay up the rest of his contract?
Look at it another way (its hard coz we are fans). What if you outperformed at work did really well a d the bosses stated they would give you this this and this....then you went to work after the weekend and not only had all those promises been broken but a few co worker s had gone (sold) too. You were then told to replicate your lasts years work with college kids....tough ask.
Don't know Helen. There are lawyers on here better versed in employment and/or contract law than you or I. But it's noticeable that no other party is admitting any of the allegations being thrown about by our club.
Hecky had wanted out for ages he got a new agent at the end of the 1st season back in the championship he was then heavily linked to the Sunderland and forest jobs rumours were that he applied at the time. I can understand him wanting out and stendel.
Fact: 20 played, 12 pts, 24th. Fact: The board identify the dealings leading to this as the best in the club’s history.
Correct...unfortunately people (and are more than entitled to their opinion) only see that if they are wearing red = great....or have done something other than red =they are enemies of the state.
well thats just as bad as a club tapping him up for me. I have to wonder too if he 'throttled back' with his tactics in order to get away due to poor performances.
......really diverting the heat from the owners for the summer transfers and crap form. Smoke and mirrors from them ???? who knows.
This is the man that said the summer was the best transfer window in history. Many people can't wait to say I believe the club. It's like trump or boris. Look at the evidence. I'll tell you what I do believe , when he says he wants to trim the squad. He also claims the new manager agrees. Next you'll tell me the new manager says sell mowatt and woodrwow to trim the squad. I'll judge this board on their actions not statements as they've already lost my trust in their statements
