I don't think anyone needs reminding about our record against them, but here it is anyway. http://www.soccerbase.com/teams/head_to_head.sd?team_id=208&team2_id=621 I've just got a sneaky feeling for Saturday. We've done ok against them at home in the league in recent times, and our last two visits brought a narrow defeat and a draw. I really think this team is good enough to go there and blow the hoodoo clean out of the ground. Having said that, I'll take a draw now
2007-08 season we lost 8-1 combined and had Andy Johnson in the same midfield as Rohan Ricketts. Chuff those were dark days.
Talking about it today with a blunts fan fitzy. Never done it b4 but contemplating stopping int pub. Thing is I would hate to miss us win. Like you though probably take a draw. I'm sure them and QP sodding R would as the saying goes , sing. can we play you every week.
Their fans have been ***** last few times I've been. Rubbing it in as the goals went in, a bit like the Reading tossers. It's in the balance for me. We've got a strong team for this league, but being unbeaten, playing a bogey team and Trevor Kettle chucked in for good measure - it could all go awry. I've never been as hopeful going there though tbh.
Why is their stadium named after Bruce Rioch. Also why build a stadium that acomodates 30k. Come on..... they aint getitin in premier league again....ever..... i mean ever... ever. again
So basically we've not won at Coventry for 95 years and in the last 24 visits we've only managed to draw 7 times. Can't we just send em the points through the post and save all that unnecessary travelling?
RICOH ARENA (sure conan was aware) named after an electronics company. But Wasps RU are the owners at mo. Coventry FC have only got permission to play there until the end of the season and if there isn't an agreement to continue. It looks like they'll be on their travels again.
I enjoyed going to Sixfields to play them last time we were down. JOB scored for them if I remember correctly. Conor got his first for us and that goal machine Leroy Lita got the other.
There were loads of their fans on the hill looking down into the stadium, refusing to pay to watch their team in exile. Travelling to Northampton was ok though!
Only been there once. Northampton knocked us out of the cup. It was freezing and we didn't turn up. It has to be right down there with some of the worst away performances I've seen.
Referee waved play on but the linesman flagged for a penalty . Sky footage later showed the ball was nowhere near an arm .
I think it was Hassell at Coventry . Kosluk was at home to Sheff U when a mile high cross from there right wing came down out of the floodlights and he headed the ball on to his arm . The ref waved play on but the linesman who was in the other half by eight (ish) yards . Nearer the Ponty End than the Home dugout flagged for a penalty .
