That Champions Trophy deal was turned around in just a few weeks. The highlights packages came to us during the evening in the form of five 8/9 minute chunks, edited out in SIngapore (Star TV) for a whole host of other broadcasters too, hence the split match edit (for TV ad breaks). The last chunk wasn't landing until well after 9pm, sometimes nearer 10pm. We stitched these together, then topped and tailed the action with our own voice-over and shots. Even if the schedulers had asked for them to be ready by 7pm, which they wouldn't, that was technically impossible.
