    Anyone else feeling the same after Heckingbottoms quotes on Saturday at Blundell Park?

    Thought the whole 6 was a bit ambitious if that's what he meant but 1 ins not looking great.

    What he actually said was that he had given the board a list of 6 names and was confident of getting some over the line. Not that 6 would be coming in

    Just keep track on what's said. I think the transfer windows been a 6/10 so far to go with a 5/10 and a 4/10 in January

    We got a bit spolt with LJ's two that for me were 7/10 and a 8/10 January transfer window.

    I think you have to judge the transfer window on 2 days - August 11th and August 31st. I'd like to see most of our business done by the start of the first game, but I must admit that it is exciting when we pull something out of the hat on deadline day.

    So far so good though in my opinion.

    Exactly. Suggest you wait until the end of the week until being too disappointed. Or if you can't wait that long I'm sure something else will spring to mind in the meantime ;)

    I liked LJ. I think Bristol is going in the right direction from the little bit I see.

    LJ brought in Mawson and Fletcher, Brownhill to name three into a League One team. We've not had anyone else in from PH that touches them. I've only seen Pinnock and Lynsey start once but I'm sure they cost a substantial amount more than Alfie but they don't look at anywhere near the standard of him.

    Wrong. The spreadsheet brought them in, LJ didn't identify them and say these 3 are excellent players that will get down bomb alley and cause havoc

    Is that a yes then?

    How is finishing 18th in the championship after a dire relegation battle whilst paying significant fees/wages "going in the right direction"?

    Contrast that with our manager, who in the same period has taken us from 12th in League 1 to 14th in the Championship on a budget of ten bob.

    He's having to build the squad after taking it apart like at Oakwell. When he left Oakwell he left a better squad than what we had last season. The club are desperate to bring in players that he managed to bring in when he was at the club.
