Must be under pressure along with a few others including McDonald in January.

Go back to catching Adam instead of punching.

He's not even as good as Nick Colgan. No wonder the defence seems permanently on edge.

Doesn’t seem to like playing in front of the sky cameras does he?

I like Davies but he should’ve definitely saved the first one.

    He also needs some competition.

His place in the team. He's far too complacent and needs genuine competition in January. Cost us against Cardiff with his flap at a cross and did exactly the same today that thankfully Leeds didn't score from when they should have. Beaten again at his near post like he was against Middlesborough. Kicking lately has been worse than Luke Steele ever was.

I wouldn't waste your time replying to him. He disagrees with anyone who is slightly critical but never actually says why.

Very inconsistent and does not command his area at all. With our inability to score goals his mistakes are costing us more at the minute.

Davies sometimes makes errors. On goalkeeping terms he is still young. Given the weaknesses in our team is his a position to strengthen I’d say on balance no and that he is as good as we will get given our budget. His clean sheet record v games played is up there with the best keepers we have had.

My worry with him - and it seems to be really unnerving for the defenders - is he seems to have gotten no better at coming to collect the ball if it is played over the defence. He seems really slow in making the decision, by which time the defender has had to deal with it.

Edit: But I agree with Jimmy that he's no weakness; in fact compared with other positions, he may well actually be one of our strengths

Just had the press conference at Oakwell prior to Reading game & Hecky has said Townsend is back in the building & will pushing Davies & to take his chance should it come...

Might just be a warning to Davies, but a much needed one imo.

In fairness Townsend would probably struggle to push me for the goalkeeping role. Makes Mannone look good.

I agree, but Davies has to have some level of competition to keep his performance levels up, that was some mistake satdi & to think he can make them & his position not be under threat would be wrong.
