a couple of deadbeat chavs post match. Absolutely no awareness of what they had just witnessed. "We're having a party later" the younger deadbeat said. Sums it up.
I'll elaborate tomorrow. Too much ale and like lot of Reds emotions all over the place. Go easy on John Peachy.
Honestly don't know how anyone could be anything other than sombre leaving the ground. Pissed me off more than i can even put into words when there was a group of lads walking up towards town and one was on the phone and this is a direct quote. Put it in white text, due to the content. Highlight the text to see it. Don't do so if you know Steve. Thanks: "Yeah, been called off" ... "I dunno, some lovely person keeled ovver i guess"
As I said elsewhere I actually left before the announcement was made. Just didn't feel right stood there watching events unfold. If it happened in the street you would just move on and leave the professionals to do the job.
Walking back to the car i was pleasantly surprised how many people were glad it had been postponed and hoped he would be ok. It shows there is plenty of decent folk about which doesn't seem to come across as much these days sadly.
