On clearly marked no parking areas. You are not fit to be parents.
Dear blonde woman outside hunnngly lane school who got out of her dangerously parked car full of cigarette smoke. Your child should be taken off you.

Before making knee-jerk reactionary posts like this you should make sure you know the latest laws on the subject. When taking your kids to school, and/or picking them up after school, the normal rules of the road don't apply. You can confirm this to the watching public by switching on your hazard lights. This then allows you to park anywhere, on quadruple yellow zig-zag lines if you want, at 45 degrees to the road, in parallel with 4 other cars so the entire road is blocked, or on the pavement provided you leave a gap of 3mm between your car and the wall to allow pedestrians to pass by.

The same applies if you are fetching fish and chips or delivering a huge flag to a football club.

Where I live I have to drive past a primary school to leave the estate. You wouldn't believe some of the drivers, they park where they want, fling car doors open as you drive through, let their kids runaround. Most of them are either in too much of a rush or are too busy gossiping with other parents.

The solution here is clear. All of your estate should be compulsary purchased and demolisehd by the council to provide the council tax payers with the parking services they require and to ensure childrens safety.

These services have clearly been neglected by the local authority and it's very easy to blame parents.

I can't understand why it isn't compulsory for everyone on the school run to wear hi-viz jackets and hard hats. Oh, and those big plastic eye protectors as well. It seems to be compulsory almost everywhere these days, so why not while doing such a hazardous thing as delivering kids to the school gates.

I used to be quite happy taking my bike up to Broadway, or using the school bus if I was feeling lazy. Don't understand all this "must use the car business" these days!

It's a brand new estate that's not even finished yet. Maybe the parents could just use their f'cking eyes and there wouldn't be any issues.

    Quite agree.

I assume the flag will be making an appearance at the Wendy game? Awfully sad news about Patrick.

I've not been as often as I'd like, the last game I went to was at Derby and the last home game was the Preston match. I was going to go to the Wendy game but at £36 a ticket it's a bit steep for me and my friend Anne (she came with me to the Forest game). We'll be at the Brentford game on Easter Monday, so it would be good to meet up for a beer or something if you're about.

I spend 30 or so minutes parked outside school gates every day but luckily I don't fit into your category since I'm not a parent

Does the colour of her hair really matter... according to some on here that's "hair-ist against females."
Actually according to some on here you can't even say that it's a woman. That's sexist and by implication "blonde" hair means she's probably white.... which is racist.
And she smokes.... well it's her life, she has the right to gum up her lungs whilst destroying the planet.
Best thing you can do, my friend, is stay in bed all day and don't get involved in anything.

You do know that kind of behaviour is likely to find you on the sex offenders register...

Me and the little one walk there in the mornings about play games and chat. I wouldn't miss it for the world and she loves it. People need to leave the cars occasionally.

    **** me that's even worse.

If it's a brand new estate the council then had the opportunity to provide the services / facilities people need without impacting on exisiting residents rather than greedily cram in endless rabbit hutch shoddy houses with insufficient parking for the residents cars never mind those who need to use the surrounding area.

What the fck are you on about?! We have to drive past a school on a road that already existed. The houses are of a very good quality and we've got plenty of parking thanks.

Some people do park in stupid places but to say there children should be taken away from them is absolutely ludricous.

Can I ask if your a parent who picks a child up?
