Johnson lost 8 on the bounce at Bristol last year. He’s lucky to be in a job. Give a manager money and whilst it’s no guarantee of success it usually helps!

Lee Johnson is a good manager - and I can't understand why he gets abuse on here.
But I wouldn't swap him for Hecky.
In fact I wouldn't swap Hecky for any manager in the football league.
    Hecky suits Barnsley.
    Barnsley suits Hecky.

No. Still one of the most abysmal managers we have ever had. Chucking millions about in transfers and wages at Bristol is a tad easier.

Not compared to some of the top 6. Credit where credits due, sorry to say this but Hecky needs to start winning games soon cos history says new owners = new manager.

When Hecky has kept us in the Championship for another 2 seasons he will be up there with Davey.

Was Davey manager when you were wined and dined and mind controlled by the club?

When he’s had the same backing...

Let’s not forget he was the former owners biggest regret

Lee Jay had one of the biggest budgets in league one so did Mr Wilson. And Patrick dripped ibro his own pockets for players like Conor mawon and ryan Williams. Neither could do jack **** regardless of the big budgets although lee Jay looked to have turned it around with 7 wins on the spin then hecky finished the job off.

There's an abundance of both of those things all over the football league, but nowhere near enough patience. I'm not convinced that Bristol would be as high flying now if they parted company with Lee last season.

Maybe not but it’s a bit of a shot in the dark saying patience would fix it for us - we don’t have enough good players.

Finished the job off, we were 13th when he cleared off and given his previous record at BFC another awful run was likely.

I agree. I was commenting on Bristol City in particular. However I don't think a managerial change would benefit us either. Work to be done in January.

    Totally agree.

As for Johnson, he seems to have learnt from how bad he was with us. Bristol don’t play technical football
