As much as I'm not doubting you, even Barnsley Football Club aren't daft enough to take it to the final stages of employing somebody who cannot speak English to the final stages before somebody pipes up.

not being the "sharpest knife in the draw" I noticed that an Italian business man has just completed the takeover of a certain club we all love to hate just up the M1, so surely THEIR ceo would be massively involved in that, so now that's complete and IF they're have got a new ceo in place then we might just see some movement on the subject, if at all there is going to be any movement from that quarter

From what was said in the chronicle both Maurice Watkins and Heckinbttom comments to me meant something would happen this week.
Be amazed if it's not done tomorrow because the chronicle will want an article on it.

If it's Mansford which I don't think it will be it doesn't matter about Leeds. Barnsley can still announce it. In F1 teams announce new members 6 months before there contract ends.

I don't think Barnsley FC will time their recruitment around the Chronicle's print run.

Hecky said something will be announced by the end of the week.
    That was in February.
As said before - if Pat appoints a CE - then we are stuck with Pat for the foreseeable future - which means of course we remain bottom of the Championship League with regard to paying wages and hence ability to attract the type of players that Hecky can mould into a really good players.

Did you say " stuck with Pat for the foreseeable future" Nudger. Please remember our owner who I revere in the same way as the Reverend Tiverton Preedy is terminally ill and secondly if it wasn't for Patrick Cryne there probably might not have been
    a Club to support.

A new owner doesn't always mean an injection of cash! Look at venkys, cellino to name but a few terrible new owners!

    Mansford was great.
    At talking.
We need someone to move the club forward by reorganisation of the board of directors and an injection of money.
    Pat knows it.
And has known it ever since he took over the ownership.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself YN, coming out with statements like " we are stuck with Pat for the forseeable future ", if Pat is here for the the future, then that is great news, firsrtly because it means he is recovering from his awful illness & secondly, it will mean the club is still in good hands. Please engage your brain before you type in future.

    Oh fooooking hell.
There's always some foooker trying to gain the higher ground.
    It's sickening.
It's nothing to do with PCs health and everyone with a few brain cells knows it.

    Stephen Fry:
It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so foooking what."

Different people have different standards Nudger. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but it doesn't necessarily mean that their opinion is the correct one. I personally found your terminology " stuck with Pat" disrespectful given his current health and the massive gratitude all genuine Reds fans have for saving our Club because that's what he did.

The purchase of that wonderful flag by our fans articulated that feeling for me. ( I couldn't subscribe cos I couldn't get my registration accepted for some reason on the BBS website.)

As for Stephen Fry he often makes statements that cause offence to others and can't seem to understand when people retaliate. He does it to keep his name in the headlines because his star is on the wane. Regarding brain cells we ought to have a whip round to buy him another one because that one he's got must be dying of loneliness.

There is no excuse for taste, but there is an excuse for ignorance. Stephen Fry can be ignorant... but that's only my opinion.!
