Did Potts get a full pre season in with Blackpool?

    I was asking myself the same question. He didn't look nowhere near match fit and thats probably why Hecky's thrown him in at the deep end. Maybe he's some catching up to do.

    I've no problem with having a relatively small £200,000 to £300,000 punt on a player like Potts. I'm a bit alarmed that we seem to have paid in the region of £750,000 though, for someone his old club's fans don't rate much.

    How much training will he have done before he played on Saturday, 1 session at most ?

    I reckon he didn't get a proper pre-season in terms of games. It seems as though Blackpool only played 5, all of which were against non league opposition. He played the first half of the first one vs Southport, and played no part whatsoever in a game with Chorley. Other than that, I've found few details of line-up's. Even so, they were games against Macclesfield, Salford and Radcliffe Borough.

    It doesn't seem to be a very intense schedule for a league 1 side.

    He played well against us earlier on in the year in the cup looked sharp then wonder if it was this performance which put him on Heckys radar
