England have been poor, pedestrian. Alli should have been removed at half time,Kane is static and offers no outlet, Henderson has no vision or forward pass. Don't be fooled by the scoreline England have been poor and better teams will beat them.

I imagine we'll actually play better against better teams, because the opposition may turn up and play.
With the amount of time Tunisia spent time-wasting or generally messing about and game-spoiling there was no real fluidity to the game.

We were suffocated by the defensive, boring tactics deployed by Tunisia. We'll play better against better, more adventurous teams.

Got to score when you're on top and we don't, therefore we will go out on pens in the last 16 or maybe last 8.

Disagree. Think we did well against a team who defended doggedly, had no intention of winning, and were only actually level due to a very poor penalty decision. We kept our shape and discipline and didn't ever resort to humping it long.

In past tournaments we wouldn't have even tried to get the winner. Trying to play through 2 banks of five is tough without resorting to long ball.

We were lethargic, turgid, unable to pull them out of shape and saved by Kane's poaching instincts.
That said I've absolutely no sympathy for Tunisia who made no contribution to the game whatsoever and deserved exactly what they got.

Henderson has no vision? Did you watch the first half? Fair enough he wasn't as effective second half, but who was?

You could be right kettlewell hopefully we will get better I would say Tunisia are a very poor side glad we won though l think with Vardy's pace in the second half we could have won more easy

I thought they played really well

    Outstanding first half

Difficult second half and got the win

    What’s not to like.

First half we were excellent apart from the finishing. Second half Tunisia parked the bus and we struggled to break them down but they never ventured into our half. Agree Ali should have come off as he picked up a knock and it slowed him down. To slag off Kane is hilarious

No, I think we should pick players who can finish though, don't you?

It wasn't good to watch, and a bit of a relief to nick the winner but a win is a win.

Not clinical enough. The better teams will punish us if we progress beyond the group.
For me we need to win the Group . If we do, we play the runners up in Group H viz:
Poland, Senegal, Colombia or Japan. If we come second we'd face the winner of
Group H. For me, that could well be Poland. Rather play Senegal, Colombia or Japan
than Poland. If we do, we could get to the Quarter finals at least.

First half we missed numerous sitters. Second half totally lost our way.
I'm glad we only scraped a win. Expectations low & we can only improve.
A 5-0 England win would have been worse. Press would have been building them up.

Harry Kane, Trippier, Stones, Rashford and Loftus Cheek were brilliant
Henderson is a panicker and Stirling is a passenger

Exactly. It was hard going in that second half. Turgid and seemingly pedestrian. But the win was all important because with Panama being the whipping boys, if we had drawn then qualification could have relied on goal difference had we all lost to Belgium. At the very least we would have definitely needed a result against Belgium.

Take the win and move on. All told its a great start. Bet Germany wish they were sitting on 3 points right now.

And it was so pleasing to see Tunisia's anti football get exactly what it deserved.
