Indoor swimming pools will open before the end of the month - Rules include - No overtaking in the pool and Butterfly Stroke forbidden.
When I was a nipper I always found the heavy petting ban a bit strange - at the time I didnt know what it meant and thought it was something you did to cats and dogs.
keeping a social distance of 2 metres whilst in the pool is a tad challenging for 'heavy-petting.' Bossman, my friend, since you brought the subject of heavy petting (er) up can you illuminate (clever pun here!) tell us what 'light-petting' is - whilst still social distancing - in a pool of water? and to go o/t and be sensible? - I'd say a chlorinated swimming pool is about the safest place to avoid covid19 ??
reminds me of the ancient school bus that took us school - had a sign at the front which said 'NO SPITTING ALLOWED' - I couldn't believe that any one would spit on a bus and thought that in that context 'SPITTING' meant something else (it didn't!) still no one objected to the back set activities.......
Good point actually with regards light petting tho I could probably hazard a guess but then again I still call it baths not pool
Now the pools are to open.... No doubt Len fairclough will be knocking on the barlows door again and saying Ken...does your Tracy want to go swimming.... ... Lol... It finishes careers....... One for the older members...
I remember that sign well from my youth. Pretty sure I broke all those rules, with the exception of the smoking one.
