Wonder what team he will pick for Swansea? Will he go for the usual suspects? Or drop such as Sibbeck and Jordan and Ben Williams? Recall Cavare and Pinillos? Start Thiam? Play Jordan Green, or maybe Callum Styles? He's had no involvement with the first team so I cannot understand why he's been put in charge in front of Disco? Interesting team sheet coming! Thrust into a maelstrom of glaring publicity he must be pooing himself
Thiam and Cavare are two of our most experienced players, as is Pinillos. Do you not think it strange that Daniel wouldn’t pick them?
Thiam and Pinillos firstly aren't good enough and secondly can't be arsed to get fit so they don't deserve to start. Cavare is decent but his passing is awful and can be a liability who also doesn't look fit.
Pretty good summary of the situation. As far os the OP is concerned, I don't think expectations are high versus Swansea & WBA after recent results.
Tad worrying that you think he's had no involvement with the first team, he carries out the drills pre match. The reason he's been given the job is because he's the only coach that's had experience as an actual manager is my thinking.
Does not make a lot of difference. If you only have a pound to spend you can spend it how you think fit but you still only have a pound.
Like you I'd have expected disco in charge that is a strange one. Mr Murray looks to have a solid lower league background. let's hope we can all give him our support at full volume.
No because they’re crap. Cavare has talent, it’s evident to see. However his attitude stinks and therefore not the player that should be selected when we’re up for a fight to stay in the division.
Yeah it must me tough trying to make a come back in the men's singles after so long out with his injuries and operations.
Ahhh, right. So you’d play the Williams’ at full back like Daniel did. So experience isn’t the issue.
Quality is the issue. Knowing is the issue. Decision making is the issue. Concentration is the issue. Age doesn't always equate to quality. Experiences aren't always good. But when you have a first team with so many players who've hardly played first team football, and when just about all are all making their first steps in the Championship together, that obviously creates problems. If Daniel had trusted Cavare i'm sure he'd be starting regularly. If Pinillos were fully fit, I suspect he'd be first choice too. If Dougall wasn't recovering from a broken leg, I suspect he may well be a core of the spine.
Pace is also an issue. If you've seen Pinillos's showings this season, he just isn't up to playing this formation. TBH many are right that our best option could be a 3-5-2 formation, as either Brown or Jordan Williams on the right & G Williams or Pinillos on the right would not be caught out as easily & they are all decent going forward.
