Apparently Thiam made an impressive impact on the game when he came on in place of Ugbo. Must say I'm very surprised at Ugbo being preferred to both Thiam and Bradshaw. For me he's in fourth place for selection behind these two and Brown, and in fact I'd return him to Chelsea, as I would Gardner to Aston Villa.
There must be a way of cutting these arrangements short. Surely we cannot be forced to keep players we don't need, and presumably pay them for doing nothing much. Both Ugbo and Gardner are young players who might come good one day, but we need good NOW. All I have seen of both players convinces me that they are nothing more than passengers.
Ugbo was truly dreadful. Thiam looked much livelier. The first half was one of the worst I've seen. Reading were there for the taking. It was 'nice' of the Madjetski stadium to show a string of our heaviest defeats on the area behind the stands prior to the game. The TV got what it deserved - unplugging.
We aren’t getting rid of Ugbo, we’ve only got 3 strikers & one of them’s only got 60 minutes in him so when Bradshaw needs a rest it has to be Ugbo unfortunately
Bradshaw only has 5 league goals this season and with the lack of service dont see that increasing quickly at the moment. Edit sorry 6 he got given Fletchers own goal didn't he. To add to the one he nicked off Pearson.
