Image1531836679.757243.jpg Great ball by Rashid to remove Kohli. Not quite the “Gatting” ball but pitched leg and hit off

The face on Kohli is a picture. We are well in the match.

Just watched highlights on Sky. England win by 8 wickets. Rashid and Bairstow both did their bit.
Good knock from Morgan with 88 not out, but Joe Root's 100 not out in 120 deliveries- different gravy.!
England take the series. Well done to all involved.

Kohli won't believe how well their strong point of being able to play spin well, was completely shown up today. The lack of rain these past two months our playing surfaces should make India feel more at home with how dry they will be.

Good to see Root getting some form back but Dhoni was mightily booed during the last game for scoring as slowly as Root. Guess that's the difference between winning and losing a match. 8 one day series wins in a row now so well done.

I think the booing was more to do with the fact that Dhoni was betting at a relatively leisurely pace while India were chasing 322 runs(6.44 rpo needed). England "only" needed to go at 5.12 rpo, and still managed it with just over 5 overs to spare...

I was doubting the wisdom of keeping Root in the one day team a few weeks ago. What do I know!! Two successive centuries shows that if you're a good batsman then any format will do. Class permanent etc etc, as the saying goes.

    Yes i know that.
England's chase didn't require any daring-do blade flashing yesterday. It was a steady knock but a slow one in the context of modern day 50 over cricket. A run a ball appears to be the minimum expected these days, far more in 20/20. Just need to find a new demon one day bowler to push us on.
