It's dire isn't it. Reminds me of a pre season friendly despite Vardy just scoring

This is making me even more excited about the Scotland game. Surely can't be any worse.

To be fair it's been attack versus defence, which is never really going to be entertaining.

End to end games with both teams actually trying to score are always going to be more entertaining than what we just watched.

Standard attack versus defence game. Lithuania couldn't get out of their own half, we couldn't find the vibrancy or potency to get through them. Easy, going through the motions type victory.

Re the atmosphere... what a sterile, boring setting Wembley now is. All and sundry have slaughtered England's away support for singing daft songs that are more out-dated rather than nasty, Oliver Holt going as far as saying the Wembley atmosphere would be much better. Well if 'better' means silence, selfies and cameras at the ready, a dull murmering the only backdrop to the football and the band playing without any support from the fans... nah I don't agree. Perhaps this is what the FA want for international football. Perhaps it's now all about the theatre, the event, the customers. But wow, I'd rather have the passion of the away fans personally, despite the nonsence perception that they're all thugs. Then again, no one could be excited by our pedestrian, side-to-side football. Southgate talks about looking at other nations and how they play, well he's tried three formations already in five games and nothing appears to have fundamentally changed. Modern day international football, boring on and off the pitch.

I was in the pub at lunchtime and a mate asked " Are you watching the match?". "What match?" I replied. That's honestly the first time I realised England were playing.

Amazingly Scotland are putting in a decent performance tonight. Could have been 2-0 up but luck just deserting Griffiths. Now awaiting the sucker punch in the 2nd half

Sunday felt like 3 hours lost. 1 with the clocks going forward and 2 watching England. Remind me again why we needed a new national stadium?
